But this time, he opted for the follicular unit extraction (FUE) treatment, which takes individual hairs and transplants them one by one, instead of a swath of them. However, Khan chose to use synthetic hair to avoid getting another scar on his scalp from extracting the hair from a donor site. The synthetic hair was then woven into his scalp.
